It is nice to hear the rain beating down on my roof. It has been awhile since it rained. Nothing like the peaceful sound of the rain splashing against the roof. A mellow beat to it. Here very soon there will be no rain, but snow.  I don’t mind snow, I just hate the cold temps! Fuck if I wanted cold, I would of moved my happy ass to Alaska or some shit like that. But hell, I am happy here, so I guess I have to deal with the cold weather thats coming soon, lol
I am going to be creating new content on my website Rockford Scanner such as more visual and audio content. That is going to spice it up a bit ;p  I am also going to be doing that to this website as well. I have a few ideas on what I am going to do, I just need to find the extra time to do it.  I need to learn a few html codes as well. Once that shit is done, the sites will be good as fuck. ;p  I am glad I own the website for many years and don’t have to rush anything.  I like that a lot. Sit back and learn it and if I fuck it up, I learn from my mistakes. Thats how I learned in the first place, fucking up and going back to see what I did wrong. You can not learn, unless you fuck up. I went to school, but hell that was pointless and money down the drain. But that is another whole story in itself.

I am looking forward to the first of the year.  I might get to go up in an airplane, if everything works out, I will be going up and doing aerial photos of our area. I am fucking excited as hell, if it happens. It is still a few weeks away, and who knows what might happen between now and then. But it is looking very promising! I have been plane spotting a few times over the last few weeks. It sure feels good to do that again! Nothing like watching an airplane soar through the skies, and taking off and landing.  So many different variety of airplanes, in sizes and shapes, and purposes. It is amazing to see how technology has came from since 1903 until now!  Thank god for the Wright Brothers :)

12-11-2011 blog

Sunday, December 11th, 2011

Thought I would blog about some misc shit I been thinking about today. So be prepared for a long boring blog. ;p

The first thing I want to blog about is the Chicago Bears. They are and always be my favorite team.  They are doing a hell of a job this year. Yes, it sucks they lost Hay Cutler and Matt Forte. But considering that Calab Naney has his two first starting games and all the pressure hes been under, he has done well. Yes, we lost those two games. But seriously, if he gets the experience, I see him being a hell of a starting quarterback. He is calm and a clutch player. When he threw the interceptions, its just part of loosening up a bit and getting the experience. I have faith in him. Yes, the Bears might not make the playoffs, but Caleb Haney is getting the experience he needs and will be a hell of a qb next year.

The other thing is, Does anyone have a photo, video, diagram on the exact bolts that go on a 1998 ford taurus water pump? I forgot to mark which bolts go where on the water pump and fucked it up :(   So I need to know which bolts go where lol

I am hoping we have a white christmas!  2 weeks away, and no snow!  Its nice hearing christmas is 2 weks away, cuz that means its closer to being spring and warmer temps. But I want snow, I want to build a snowman, take my daughters sledding, have a snowball fight, etc…   Imagine what the scanners going to be like when we have the first major snowfall!?

I am missing horse racing. I went to Arlington this year and had a lot of fun. I am wanting to go again next year. Below is  a photo I took from this year.

Man, I wish I lived out west, because tonight is a total lunar eclipse which starts at 5:30am and I am only going to see just a part of it, because the sun is going to rise. So I am not going to be able to watch the whole thing. But its cool thats its happening. The next total lunar eclipse wont be until April 2014.  And another cool thing thats happening soon, is a meteor shower. Yes, it might be cold. But always still fun to watch.

I have been playing battlefield 3 alot lately. I love the battlefield series. And this one is really kick ass. The one thing I do not like about it, is you can not play against the computer ai in multi player :(    other than that I havent found anything else to bitch about lol  If you play BF3, hit my up my user profile is RockfordScanner. i am in the SOF clan.

I came across this photo online, and fell in love with it. As you know, my goal in life is to see the ocean. And when i seen this photo, I fell in love. I did not take this photo. I have no idea who did, so i cant give the proper credit. But whoever took the photo, did a hella job!

missing my daughter

Wednesday, December 7th, 2011

I am sitting here thinking of how much I miss my daughter. I wish my baby mom would answer the phone, so I can talk to my daughter. I miss her terribly. I only get her on weekends, but I wished she lived with me for good. But thank the lovely court system, for giving my baby mom custody. They didnt want to give a dad custody.  But thats a whole different story. I miss her a lot and she lives a ways from me now, so I cant just go over and see her. It sucks. I just wished my baby mom would grow the fuck up and answer her phone when I call, so I can talk to my daughter.

I am doing a thing with Ryan this week, posting one photo a day this week.  Kinda get me back in the photography mood since i been slacking a bit lately. It gives my new ideas on things to photograph. Its kinda like a 365 project, but for only 7 days instead of 365 days. Kinda nice.  Below are the first two days.

So I  have been slacking the last few weeks in photography. So, I am extending a challenge to my friends. The challenge is, to take at least one photo a day all next week. The photo must be taken on the day it is posted. It must be posted on my FB page, and my friends will vote on it.  I am doing this, to get back into the mood for photography and also to sharpen my skills and give me new ideas on stuff to photograph.  I am looking forward to doing it.

Well I am a few more steps closer to getting my water pump on the car! I have it back on, now i need to figure which bolts go to where. They are different lengths and i did not mark which ones went where. So I fucked up. I should of documented everything, but didn’t :(   But the good news is, it will not be long before the car is finally done. Then i get to see if it was the water pump or the head that is blown.  I have been slacking, and not fully working on it. So this is why it has taken as long as it has.  ;p

Man, a cold temp. of 14 degrees is in the near future! Fuck man, I was hoping winter would fucking go away before it began lol.  Oh well,  I guess I just have to go with the flow and try enjoying it as much as possible. As I get older, the more I hate winter lol.  I am a summer guy 24-7, I would rather be sweating balls, than freezing them!  I would rather much prefer lots of snow over cold temps. bring the fucking snow :)

My goal next week, is to do some plane spotting at KRFD.  I havent been out there in awhile. So it is well over due.  To sit back and admire the aircraft come and go. Such a beautiful sight to see. As you know, i enjoy aviation alot!  i have created another website, dedicated to plane spotting at KRFD. Click Here To Check It Out  it has the basics, but still needs work to be added to it. But it is up and running now :)

Below is a photo I took over the summer. Man, I could go for a thunderstorm right now!

12-1

Today my daughter had her 2 month shots. It sucked watching her be poked, but i told myself it is for the best. The nurse was nice, and she was gentle with her, so it eased our worries a bit. It is hard to believe shes 2 months old now! Time has flown by these last 2 months! Today is the first day we gave her Tylenol, the DR told us to give it to her for the pain from the shots.  I am missing my other daughter, I wished she still lived with me. I miss her ALOT :(

The forecast says snow for the weekend, unknown on how much. But I would think probably not much considering the ground and theres none on the ground now.

Chad,  you need to email me your number! I lost it once again lol.  Hit me up on facebook or email it to me at Rickie@RickieTraeger.com
